13.Setup & configure Tomcat on EC2 instance - Tomcat server setup::

1.Launch...Red Hat Enterprise Linux In AWS..

sudo su -
yum install java-1.8*
java -version


2.installing Tomcate......
web sit go... https://tomcat.apache.org/download-80.cgi
in that tar.gz

cd /opt,ls,yum install wget

wget http://us.mirrors.quenda.co/apache/tomcat/tomcat-8/v8.5.40/bin/apache-tomcat-8.5.40.tar.gz

ls,

tar -zvxf apache-tomcat-8.5.40.tar.gz
cd apache-tomcat-8.5.40  
ls, cd bin , ls
{check Permisions..of startup.sh and shutdown.sh...}

chmod +x startup.sh , chmod +x shutdown.sh or chmod 700 startup.sh

./startup.sh ..for Start , ./shutdown.sh ..for Stop

{ln -s /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/bin/startup.sh /usr/local/bin/tomcatup
ln -s /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/bin/shutdown.sh /usr/local/bin/tomcatdown
}

3....changing Port Numer...

go.. to
 /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/conf
yum install nano  , vi server.xml
nano server.xml  .... change 8080 to 8090..
{ <Connector port="8090" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
}
cd .. ,cd bin,  ./shutdown.sh 



4...I want to Run Other Browes.. configure..(Manage App..clik.)

find / -name context.xml ...(12.19)...


nano /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/webapps/host-manager/META-INF/context.xml

nano /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/webapps/manager/META-INF/context.xml

5.............Adding Users AND Roles.....

go.. /opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/conf
nano  tomcat-users.xml

<role rolename="manager-gui"/>
<role rolename="manager-script"/>
<role rolename="manager-jmx"/>
<role rolename="manager-status"/>
<user username="admin" password="admin" roles="manager-gui, manager-script, manager-jmx, manager-status"/>
<user username="deployer" password="deployer" roles="manager-script"/>
<user username="tomcat" password="s3cret" roles="manager-gui"/>



...
go to ../opt/apache-tomcat-8.5.40/bin

./startup.sh ..for Start , ./shutdown.sh ..for Stop
